Welcome To My Hart

I am so excited to be launching this blog and look forward to sharing it with you. Although I am a very open book, I have found the process of starting this blog to be vulnerable and even intimidating! Sharing your life so transparently is a risk, but it is one I feel drawn to taking. Here, I will be sharing my very personal life, my struggles, triumphs, and discoveries along my journey. If you don't know me, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Elyse Hart. I am 30 years old. I was adopted at birth and was born and raised in Los Angeles. I started riding at the age of 4 and fell in love with all things horses. Over my lifetime, I am so lucky this love has not been lost because I feel it has brought me full circle. I have been sober for almost 5 years and feel horses have played a huge role in sobriety. I am a new-ish mother of a 15-month-old boy, Jaxon. My life could not be any more of a polar opposite to what it was five years ago, and it is my plan to share about that with you. My main goal of this blog is to create a space for sober athletes, and also an environment of support for people who have loved ones who are not yet sober. I put people I love the most though incredibly painful times while I was in active addiction, so I really long to support those who are going through that currently. Feel free to poke around and check out my about me section, or contact me! I always love meeting new people. I am also looking for other sober athletes to interview, know of any? Please subscribe to my blog so you will get updates about new posts, interviews, and more!
